Crepuscle is a word that refers to the period of time just before sunrise or just after sunset. While not a commonly used term, there are several synonyms that can be used in its place. These include, but are not limited to, twilight, dusk, dawn, nightfall, and gloaming. Each of these words have slightly different connotations, but all can be used to describe that magical in-between time of day when the sky is painted with vibrant colors and the world seems to be on the verge of a transformation. Regardless of which synonym is used, they all evoke a sense of beauty and wonder that can only be found during the crepuscular hours.
