The Best 100 Outdoor Sports Activities and Adventure Sports in Europe

Call for the inscription

Guidelines

The convocation is open to entities that in 1996 have organized outdoor sports activities or adventure sports in the European continent.

The following will be considered outdoor and adventure sports all the activities carried out in the country, parks, coast, sea, lakes, mountains, rivers, etc...

All these activities can be standard or traditional taking advantage respect for the nature and sustainability with the environment.


Geographic area of the activities:
The areas can be at a local, regional or country level or between countries
At a local level only one project can be presented by every entitie. At a country or intracountry level, three projects can be presented by the entities.

Duration:
The project should had been inplemented on 1996. It must emphasized that it cannot be in the form of a school activity or course.

Application form
The dossier should be typed (maximum 5 pages). Handwritten forms will not be accepted. The dossier can be in English or French.
If possible include complementary material (videos, flyers, ets...) Which can be in the original language.

Judging Committee
For this initial edition a jury will be constitued by the Board of Directors of the EUSpT. For the next convocation a jury of independent members will be established by the presidency of the UESpT.

Award
In this first edition there will be no actual prize but the winners will be included in a catalogue of “The Best Hundred outdoor sports activities and adventure sports in Europe”
In subsequent years we hope to get sponsors for the prizes.

These activities will be rated on a starsystem by the following order:

  • three stars for the best
  • then two stars or one stars-based on the criteria of the Jury.

The Jury will put results on Internet or in a booklet or CD-ROM as well as being included in a database of activities, wich in itself we hope will act as a stimulation.

Timetable
The deadline for the recepeit of the dossier is 15 January 1997. Any dosseir received after this date cannot be considered for this edition.
