Another synonym could be cybernetic consciousness, which describes a system that has the capacity for self-regulation. The more advanced our technology becomes, the more crucial the ability to develop an artificial consciousness becomes. Ultimately, though, creating a machine that can replicate human consciousness remains an elusive ideal.
