How to use "Bicarbonate" in context?
The sodium bicarbonate ion, often abbreviated to NaHCO3, is a common mineral compound and the strongest acid in water. It is also used to make other compounds and acids, such as HOF5 (formic acid), CS2H6 (carbon disulfide), CH3COOH (carbonic acid), and HCN (hydrogen cyanide). When dissolved in water, the bicarbonate ion reacts with other chemicals to form carbonic acid and until it is used up, this compound will react with water to give carbon dioxide and hydrogen bicarbonate.
