The term 'co-workers' is used to refer to colleagues, teammates or associates with whom we work closely. Opposite to this term are the words such as 'adversaries', 'opponents', 'enemies' and 'antagonists'. These words imply opposition, conflict, and a sense of hostility between individuals. They refer to people who are against us, rather than working with us. They do not share similar goals, missions, and interests as the co-workers. Whereas, the co-workers' term encompasses individuals who collaborate and cooperate with one another towards achieving common objectives. Thus, while co-workers foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork, their antonyms indicate a very different dynamic.
