Escapologists, also known as escape artists, are performers who specialize in freeing themselves from confinement or restraints. The term escapologist has become synonymous with the likes of Harry Houdini, who was renowned for his death-defying stunts. However, there are a number of other terms that can be used to describe an escapologist, including a trickster, an illusionist or a Houdinist. Some may even refer to them as a practitioner of escapology or an escape master. Whatever the term, escapologists have continued to captivate audiences around the world with their daring feats of escape and mastery.
