"Excrutiated" is an intense word that describes a level of pain or discomfort that is difficult to bear. However, there are a number of synonyms that can be used in its place to convey similar feelings. Some of these words include: agonized, tormented, anguished, tortured, harrowed, harassed, and harried. Each of these words conveys a sense of extreme distress, whether it be physical or emotional.
