Footvolley, also known as footbag volleyball, is a sport that has gained popularity worldwide. It is similar to beach volleyball, but it only uses the feet rather than hands. Some synonyms for footvolley include "footbag net", "footvolleyball", and "sand soccer". Another version of this sport, called "bossaball", incorporates elements of trampolining and gymnastics. In Brazil, where footvolley originated during the 1960s and 70s, it is known as "futevôlei" and is played on beaches and in parks. Other popular names for the sport in Brazil are "vôlei de praia sem rede" (beach volleyball without a net) and "futpraia" (soccer beach).
