Insing is a term usually associated with cricket, but it also has other meanings. As such, there are a few synonyms for the word inswing that can be used depending on the context. In the game of cricket, the terms in-swing, inswinger, or in-cutters are sometimes used interchangeably. The term inward movement is also used to describe the same bowling action. However, outside of cricket, the phrase "inward swinging" can also be replaced with "in-curved" or simply "curling inward." In general, when trying to describe a movement that originates from outside and curls inward, words like curving, bending, or turning inwards can be used instead of inswing.
