Mentzelia is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family known by the common name little-leaf mahogany. There are about 20 known species of this plant, most of which are native to the eastern and central United States. Plants in this genus are commonly known as mahogany.

The genus is named for German botanist Friedrich Karl Ludwig von Mentzel, who was the first to describe the plant family. The type species is Mentzelia pellucida, which he described in 1800.
