How to use "Musculus pectoralis" in context?
The Musculus Pectoralis is one of four major muscles in the chest. It extends the shoulder and movable joints in the chest. Other muscles that contribute to chest movement are the pectoralis major, pectoralis minor, anterior deltoid, and latissimus dorsi.
The pectoralis muscle originates on the medial edge of the scapula, below the clavicle, and inserts on the upper border of the humerus just proximal to the shoulder joint. The anterior surface of the muscle is covered with a sheet of smooth muscle.
