QTS is a popular acronym used in the education sector which stands for Qualified Teacher Status. This accreditation is awarded to prospective teachers who have successfully completed their initial teacher training (ITT) and have met the necessary teaching standards required by the government. However, there are a few synonyms for QTS in various countries and regions. In Scotland, it's known as Full Registration, in Wales, it's called Induction, and in Northern Ireland, it's known as Provisional Registration.
