How to use "Re volt" in context?
The re volt, or "reverse voltage" is an act of voltage switching, in which a power supply applies an inverted voltage to a load, to decrease its power consumption. The term is most commonly used to describe the switching of low voltage electric power grids to high voltage grids, in order to provide more power. Re volt is also used to describe the reverse operation of electric clocks, where the hour hand is moved the opposite direction of standard time in order to maintain synchronization with Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
