Saint Ignatius is one of the most famous Catholic saints. Born in the year 1015, he was a wealthy nobleman who became a priest. In his early years, he experienced a conversion, which led him to dedicate his life to helping others. He founded the Society of Jesus, or Jesuits, in 1540. Saint Ignatius is known for his piety, tolerance, and missionary work. He died in 1621, and is considered one of the most important Catholic saints.
