Tablets of memory can be referred to by a number of different synonyms. Some of these include "memory aids," "notebooks," "journals," "recorders," and "logs." Each of these descriptors invokes the idea of a physical item or object that serves to store important information or memories. Depending on the context in which the phrase is used, different synonyms may be more or less appropriate. For example, if referring to a piece of technology, "memory storage" or "memory bank" may be more appropriate. Ultimately, however, all of these synonyms serve to convey the same basic idea - that something important is being recorded or preserved for future reference.
