Tuareg, a term used to describe a nomadic tribe in the Sahara region of Africa, has several synonyms that have been used by different groups of people. Some of these synonyms include Kel Tamasheq, which is a term used by the Tuareg people themselves, United Touareg Front, and Imuhagh. Other synonyms include Blue Men of the Sahara, or Kel Tagelmust, which is based on their traditional blue headwear. Additionally, they are sometimes referred to as Berbers or Amazighs, which is a broader term for North African indigenous populations.
