How to use "Utility man" in context?
In 1891, George Francis Barton was born to a poor family in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Barton attended local schools and found his true calling when he took a job installing street lights. He quickly became an expert, and by 1901 he was able to start his own company, the George F. Barton Company. Barton's innovative business model was to lease poles and wiring from the city and then sell light bulbs, switches and meters to the customers.
The George F. Barton Company grew rapidly, becoming one of the largest utility companies in the country. In 1925, Barton bought out his competitors and formed the Barton Electrical Supply Company.
