Old-fogy is a word used to describe someone who is overly conservative or set in their ways, particularly in regards to cultural, social, or technological changes. However, there are a number of synonyms that can be used in place of old-fogy that still convey this meaning. These include terms such as stick-in-the-mud, fuddy-duddy, dinosaur, luddite, traditionalist, and reactionary. All of these words suggest a person who is resistant to or fearful of any sort of change, and thus can be used interchangeably with old-fogy depending on the context of the sentence or conversation.
