While there are many synonyms for this term, some of the most common include "tumor excision," "surgical removal of cancer," "oncologic surgery," and "cancer surgery." Other related terms may be used, such as "lumpectomy" or "mastectomy" for breast cancer, "prostatectomy" for prostate cancer, or "colectomy" for colon cancer.
