The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) is a Marxist-Leninist Palestinian organization that seeks to establish a democratic and socialist state in Palestine. Synonyms for DFLP include: Popular Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, or PDFLP, which was a former name of the organization; Democratic Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, or DPFLP, which is a variation of the DFLP name; and People's Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, or PDFLP, which is another variation of the organization's name. The DFLP has been involved in numerous armed conflicts and acts of terrorism in Israel and Palestine, and has been designated as a terrorist organization by several countries.
