Synonyms for GAVI might include "international vaccine program," "global immunization effort," "vaccination advocacy network," or "global health organization for vaccines." GAVI's work has been instrumental in increasing immunization rates around the world, particularly among vulnerable populations. Other groups working towards similar goals include the World Health Organization's Expanded Programme on Immunization, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
