How to use "Burbs" in context?
The neighborhood of the suburbs is always associated with vast fields, large houses and wide streets. In the days of the horse and buggy, the suburbs were the place for those who could afford to leave the city. It wasn't until the 1920s that the first suburb, Grosse Pointe Park, began to be built. But it wasn't until the 1950s that the suburbs really began to take off. The suburbs are now a staple of American life and are recognizable everywhere.
