Dis equilibration is a term used to describe a state of imbalance or disequilibrium. There are a variety of other synonyms that can be used for dis equilibration, including disbalance, instability, lack of equilibrium or balance, and unevenness. Other similar terms include disturbance, disorientation, and disruption. These words all describe a state of change or shift from a stable point, whether that be physical, emotional or psychological. In many cases, these shifts are temporary and can be resolved with the right actions or interventions. However, in some cases, complete balance or equilibrium may never be fully regained.
