Jamesonite is a rare mineral composed of lead, antimony, and sulfur. It is also known as feather ore, argentiferous gray copper, and pearlstone. Other synonyms include plumosite, semseyite, kermesite, bournonite, and stibnite. These minerals are often found in metallic veins along with other ores such as galena, pyrite, and sphalerite. Jamesonite is named after the Irish mineralogist, Robert Jameson, who was a professor at the University of Edinburgh in the early 19th century.
