Psychography is the process of producing written material by means of automatic writing or drawing. Although it is not a widely known term, there are some synonyms for psychography. One synonym is "spirit writing," which refers to the belief that spirits can communicate through the writing of living people. Another synonym is "automatic writing," which is the practice of allowing the subconscious mind to take control of the writing process. "Channeling" or "mediumship" are also related synonyms, as they pertain to communication with entities from the spirit world. In some contexts, "clairvoyance" and "ESP" may be used as synonyms for psychography, as they refer to the ability to perceive beyond the physical realm.
