Swainsona Grandiflora is a plant species native to Australia. Commonly known as the Sturt desert pea, the plant has several other synonyms that are commonly used. These include Clianthus formosus, Clianthus dampieri, Clianthus dampieri var. subrhomboideus, and Clianthus puniceus. The Sturt desert pea is a climbing vine with distinctive deep red flowers that bloom from spring to summer. Despite its beautiful appearance, the plant is known to be highly toxic if ingested.
