Neurophysiology is mainly concerned with the study of the nervous system's functions and electrical activities. Cardio-electrophysiology focuses on investigating the electrical behavior of the heart. Cell physiology emphasizes the study of electrical properties of healthy cells and pathological or disease-causing cells. All these terms are often used interchangeably, and researchers from several scientific fields use them in their day-to-day work to investigate the electrical activities of living organisms.
