How to use "Triteness" in context?
Triteness is a property of crystals which quantifies their tendency to adopt a cubic structure. In crystals, triteness is achieved when the constituent atoms are arranged in a Fibonacci sequence. In other words, each atom is positioned next to its neighbor with the exception of the atom at the center, which is positioned in the middle of the sequence. The atoms at the periphery of the pattern are twice as far from the center atom as the atom in the middle.
The sequence of triteness is not evenly distributed, with some crystals exhibiting more triteness than others.
