How to use "Triplet" in context?
Triplets are individuals who are born to three parents who are not related. In general, the term "triplet" refers to the biological occurrence of threebirths in a pregnancy. However, in the case of triplets, there is no "normal". Triplet pregnancies are exceedingly rare, accounting for only 1 in every 500 births. Triplets are more likely to result from the occurrence of two simultaneous abortions, followed by implantation of two separate fertilized eggs. Triplet pregnancies are sometimes more complicated and prone to various medical issues than single births, including an increased risk for premature labor, birth defects, and even death.
