How to use "Dis-places" in context?
I rarely use this word, but for the purposes of this article, I will dis-place it for "displacement." I recently became aware of its existence after reading a blog post by Emily Mensch. Mensch discusses the idea of displacement, or the act of relocating people or things from their usual context in order to create a new one. She explains that displacement can be positive or negative, depending on the circumstances.
For many people, displacement can be a natural part of everyday life. It can occur when a person moves to a new city, or when a refugee resettlement happens.
